ABOUT
Cultural Matters is an Arts, Museum and Heritage consultancy founded by Georgia Rouette in 2003 with the aim of helping artists, artists’ estates, arts organisations, local government, museums, and the heritage sector to realise their ideas and projects.
Our passion as Art, Museum and Heritage Consultants is to see the value of art and culture appreciated by many people through connections. Our vision is to see quality projects realised.
WHAT WE DO
For Artists
We work hard for artists so that they may have the opportunities to create, exhibit and contribute in the cultural landscape unencumbered and to be noticed by gallerists, curators, collectors and museums.
Galleries, Heritage, Local Museums, Government
Our goal is to ensure all museums, galleries, local government and heritage organisations can tell their stories in a meaningful and relevant way for their communities and to be valued and recognised as significant organisations.
For Developers
Cultural Matters can deliver a public art project from start to finish, eliminating the need to directly deal with Council planners and public art managers for sign offs.
Public Art
Public art, whether it is sculpture, installation, performative, conceptual, wall art, ephemeral, or permanent actively contributes to the story of place, identity and can provoke varied responses. We see public art as engaging in conversations that otherwise might not occur.
Grant Writing
With nearly 30 years of successfully writing grants and tenders and having managed government grant programs we understand that telling a compelling and convincing story as well as developing a realistic budget and timeline is crucial to the success of your project.
